Review summary

1st time on a Princess ship. I do not understand what many of the complaints were about the Coral Princess ship. I didn't feel it was horribly outdated. My hubby and I are in our 40's and we loved it. Great crew (especially Corey the cruise director), ship, things to do, excursions, food and shows were fantastic! There are a few bathroom odors near the two main theaters but other than that it smelled fine. We were in a balcony room and no room temperature issues. We were on the even/port side E624 cabin. Princess really put our favorite cruise line Holland America to the test. We are thinking of switching to Princess. What a fantastic trip we had. No issues with any sickness that we know of on our cruise. We just sanitized, sanitized, sanitized. If I had to complain about one thing would be when people win trivia or game shows all the prizes seem to be champagne and we didn't drink so we gave it to the runner up. I'm sure if we mentioned it to the crew they would have done something but there should be options for non alcoholic drinkers.

My best friend and I took that Panama cruise October of last year. The sewer smell was awful. it certainly wasn't just a small whiff. It was so strong several folks reported gagging..... myself included. Our room also had flushing issues and the sewer smell would seep into our room. many rooms around us had toilets that over flowed. One man said that his toilet over flowed 3x. once at 2am (on his birthday) and each time they hadn't even used the restroom. The stress amongst the crew was palpable. Dinner was a slow grueling nightmare. we missed several shows due to dinner taking over 2 hours. I think the kitchen also had issues with plumbing. Our bus trip in Cartagena was a nightmare and was falsely advertised. A very young member of the photographer team was so rude to my girlfriend and I....without provocation...caught on my cell phone....that her manager made her apologize. My husband and I took a little cruise a year ago. We had a night nightmare snorkel experience....so bad that my husband said it was time to change cruise lines. After 10 years and 8 cruises....3 of them abroad we have watched a steady decline....in food, service and tours in Princess. However, I will concede that so many people complain over such trivial issues that when a serious issue happens it isn't given the attention it should. also we have found many folks take a cruise but don't spend any money nor do they tip. My husband and I spend $3,000 per 7 days....enjoying everthing the cruise has to offer. From the private pool, to the spa, the resturants, bingo, casino etc. The cruise lines need to start handing out perks for how much money is spent....not on how many cruises one takes. We have spent enough money to have taken 20 cruises. We are the kind of folks Princess makes money on. Yet, the perks are given to,folks who just buy the cruise and don't spend any additional money (The industry doesn't make money on the cruise itself.) We are going to try some other cruise lines. we have been on 4 of them.

I'm really glad to hear this . . . I am sold on Princess and I get heartbroken ❤️when I hear a bad review. I spend a lot of time defending the cruise line based on my experiences. Glad you had fun 😉!

Oh and our trip was through the Panama Canal.... Aruba, Cartagena, Panama canal, Colon, Costa Rica and Jamaica. Wifi was very limited, only a few ports had it so that made it even better since we were cut off from the Internet.
