Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Too many rectangular tables in dining room instead of round. Make it difficult for interaction. The food was good, but not exceptional.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Had a spa and salon and the prices were outrageous ($50 for a manicure; $99 for 1/2 hour scalp massage). The tours were set up to take up your entire time on shore. We were put on a bus, taken on a 2 miles boat ride in the jungle and taken back to ship in time to leave for $60 per person. By the time we were processed off the ship, took a shuttle to get a cab, take a cab into town we had to rush around to repeat the process to get back to the ship. Felt rushed. Also felt we were being hustled to buy "extras" on tv stations, when being asked if we wanted something (found out we had to pay extra), etc. This was our third cruise and would not take Princess Lines again.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Ship staff was great. No complaints whatever.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Large ship with plenty of room; public areas were very nice and everything was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Stateroom was fine. We had a balcony which we enjoyed very much. The shower was so small my husband had to sit on the potty and put his feet in the shower to wash them (he's 5'11", 200 lbs. You sure couldn't bend over. Stateroom kept very clean and was comfortable. Twice we came back to our room after cleaning and found the door not latched.

Pros: The ship was beautiful and the staff was top notch; entertainment was good.

Cons: Constant charges for "extras" (bottle of water, coke, latte, etc.)' selling cheap jewelry in the public areas at meal times; times in port were so short we felt rushed all the time to get off the ship and back on the ship before sailing.

Recommends Coral Princess? No.
