Review summary

We just completed an excellent trip on the Coral Princess maiden voyage. The ship is beautiful and each day everything seemed to get better. Food was excellent and many of the evening meals were gourmet quality taste and presentation.Embarkation went very smoothly both ways with many people from Princess available to answer any questions.Showers are very small, but we managed. We were disappointed to not have a settee in our room, but found the balcony wonderful. Entertainment was disappointing as two of the evening shows were repeated. The Princess dance troupe performed two different shows and each was outstanding. They certainly earn their money. There were too many poor comedians for our taste. One in particular used offensive language and would have pleased us more if he had stuck to his singing and piano playing, which was wonderful. We really enjoyed the new ScholarShip at Sea programs (lectures and demonstrations), especially the culinary demonstrations and tour of the galley. Each cabin was given a gift of the Princess cookbook as a momento of the maiden voyage. It was especially nice to enjoy the beautiful champagne waterfall on the last formal night.We missed the great chunks of assorted cheeses, omelette and waffle stations, homemade ice cream bar and late night slices of pizza we had enjoyed on other ships. But, as our waiter, Emil, said to us each evening, "It was an excellent trip!" Mike and Pat/Michigan
