Review summary
The Reflection is the newest ship in the Celebrity line and was beautiful with more spacious cabins and bathrooms in the Veranda Staterooms. We were initially very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the details of the new ship, such as recessed stateroom doors, very comfy beds and pillows and were ready to book another cruise on the Reflection until we experienced less than favorable service in the main dining room followed by other disappointments listed below.
*Less than quality service in the dining room: The wait staff were friendly but were given too many tables to give quality service to the guests they served. It seemed they were racing from table to table. Several other guests commented on the same thing.
*Food was average and the presentation was good, but the overall quality was less than what we have enjoyed on other Celebrity Ships.
*Less activities during the day and evening. The entertainment was good but fun activities were lacking.
*The buffet closed down several times to prepare for lunch and dinner service. When the ship was in port the buffet was more limited.
We have booked another cruise with Celebrity in May on a different ship and are hoping that our experience is better.

Ship tip
Get in line early for the evening entertainment. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime, but if you aren't at the doors when they open, it is difficult to find a good seat. There was excessive "seat saving" on the cruise I was on. The bar service was somewhat limited in the Reflection Lounge.
