Review summary
This ship was paradise in every way. When booking this cruise for our honeymoon, our only worry was that it would just be a ship full of much older people who went to bed at 9. We're 26 and 27, and we found that quite a few people were partying even harder than us, but never obnoxiously. We had the promotion where we got a free classic beverage package. We had thought about upgrading to premium, but found we didn't need to. There was plenty of great stuff to drink without the highest package, and bars EVERYWHERE. We especially loved the Sky Lounge Observation Deck bar that turns into a club of sorts at night. Latin night was the best! The DJ was great every night we heard him as well, and he really got everyone dancing. It was exactly the atmosphere we were looking for - sophisticated but not stuffy. The itinerary was amazing. Our first stop was San Juan. We didn't choose to do a ship excursion, but we wish we had. We walked around, but felt aimless amidst the many many repetitive tourist shops in Old San Juan. I would definitely book an excursion if I had it to do over. The next stop was Saint Maarten. We booked through Bernard's Tours, a local company, and we couldn't have been more pleased. We paid $40 each for a five hour tour that hit all of the great spots, including Marigot for French pastries at Serafine, Orient Beach (the most beautiful I've ever seen!), and Maho Beach, where we saw several jets fly in so stunningly low to Princess Juliana Airport. It also included basically unlimited drinks on the tour bus. Unfortunately I was sick the day we were scheduled to be in Saint Thomas. We were refunded our Celebrity-booked excursion though, which was a really nice thing for them to do, and exemplifies the kind of service this company strives to implement. The days at sea were filled with food, drinks, glorious pool time, and some light casino play. It was tough to find good lounge chairs, even tough to find two chairs together on some dShip experiences
