Review summary

We love to cruise, and we were anticipating famous Celebrity service and style. Although the cruise overall was acceptable, we were disappointed with the average service by the staff. In particular, the food service staff did not seem to be happy - no warmth or graciousness. The ship was fine, but really, nothing exceptional.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was average. No effort seemed to be made towards presentation, and were on occasion, dry and over cooked. AND the one and only song that played in the background at dinner on our last night was "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic. Honestly, I am not kidding -

Entertainment

3 out of 5
There was never a lack of activities if you wanted something to do.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
This is really where the difference was obvious. They were not particularly friendly, helpful or happy. Just to try to get a spoon to have our soup at lunch seemed to be a chore! Maybe they were tired, or new, but the crew was just not happy.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Adequate facilities, but again, nothing special. I had really expected a cut above

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The stateroom was nice, and the balcony made it a lovely escape. You always have to expect small on a ship, but this was very nice.

Pros: Vancouver shopping, dancing, balcony, and quiet time

Cons: surly service, the staff may have been tired or under-trained
