Review summary

We have just returned from this cruise and enjoyed all the islands we visited.  The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We were very disappointed with the options that were presented in the dining room - it was not gourmet cuisine.  The menu had meatloaf one night & pork & beans another night.  The items on the menu were repeated night after night.

We  chose Celebrity cruise line because of the itinerary based on our past cruise experience but were very disappointed.  They really promote dining in the specialty restaurants where you have to pay $100.00 per person for valentines day.

We have no complaints with the staff except for the head sous chef.  He told us if we didn't like the food in the dining room we should go to the café for dinner.  We didn't come on a cruise to dine at a buffet when we wanted to have the dining experience that we were accustomed to in previous cruises.

The entertainment in the evening was a downfall of the cruise line.  There was only about 4 shows that people really enjoyed.

We heard many complaints re:  dining room and we hope that head office will take note and make Celebrity cruise line what it use to be!!!

The dress code in the dining room was also not enforced .

I love pork and beans. there are others like me out there. we're misunderstood. but we are people too...does not a pork and bean lover bleed?

we too just returned on the Eclipse. as I am not a food or dining connoisseur, my rating of the food in the dining room would be of no benefit to the readers of this thread although my wife did enjoy the French onion soup and lobster tails. the buffet is not a favourite although lots of people sure lined up for it. what made this cruise memorable besides the ports were the group of cruisers on deck 14 mast bar area where we met tons of fantastic people from the US, Canada, Great Britain and Germany. they made the cruise for us and experienced a wonderful time.
