Review summary

Eclipse is a newer ship with lots of energy. The staterooms (especially the bathrooms) are just the right size for this couple. Lots of hangers in the closet and plenty of space to turn around in the cabin. This was our 14th cruise (mostly on RCCL and Celebrity) and this veranda stateroom was easily the nicest. Our only complaint centered around the excursions. The 6 hour trip to and from Berlin was a complete waste of money. The city is dirty, covered in graffiti and the guide was essentially worthless. Save your money!

Food and Dining

Food in the Moonlight Sonata and specialty restaurants was always quite good. Qsine was also lots of fun and we ate there several times. The 14th floor dining was only average and they never changed the menu...other ships we have been on tried to duplicate what was serving in the main dining area.

Entertainment

The individual acts were quite good and very funny. The shipboard singers and dancers were not as good as some others and the Celebrity singers left alot to be desired.

As with every Celebrity/RCCL ship we have been treated with superb friendliness and service.

Large ship: Too many shops for our taste...we'd like to see more room for the entertainers. The best act of the cruise (4 Tilt anssambly singers) were always placed where there was no room for the many guests to view.

Best size\, etc. for this type of stateroom.
