Carnival Victory Cruise to No Where

Sail Date: October 01, 2007

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship, although a little dated, was kept in a clean and enjoyable state. The furniture was comfortable. Our bed was a little hard. We had a outside balcony stateroom. Will do that again. To stand outside on the balcony was a wonderful experience. Our steward was fantastic!

Pros: The staff were courteous, and attentive to our needs. The food was pretty and delicious.

Cons: Using cruisesonly.com. I will never go through this agency again. They totally bungled our reservation.

Recommends Carnival Victory? Yes!

Entertainment
We did not attend any of the functions, but saw others participating and they seemed to really enjoy it.
Ship Quality
Everything was clean and in good shape. The public areas seemed to start and end in the casino. Smoking should not be allowed in the casino.
Cabin / Stateroom
The stateroom needed a few minor repairs, but the victory will be in drydock soon for repairs for two weeks. The overal condition was lovely. I loved the bathroom vanity. It was more than expected.
Food and Dining
The food was wonderful to look forward to. The kitchen staff really worked hard to make the presentation special. We had a great dining room as well. Would liked to have had 6:30 which we specified to , but got 5:45 and did not get seated with our friends we got 8:30. Again just dropped the ball here.
Service and Staff
The ship and their staff were tops! Whatever you do board early. Cruisesonloy said board late, wrong thing to do! We got to stand in line with everyone in the hot sun and watch the early people waving at us from the ship. Hot dogs and hamburgers were served on the back deck and we did not know about it.
