Review summary

My only complaint is about boarding the ship in New Orleans. We waited in line for a half hour to get in the building, about an hour to get through security and at least 2 hours to get to an agent. This was not a good start. Everyone was very friendly and helpful when you reached their area, but the wait was still too long.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
On cruises, they generally present you with quantity, not necessarily quality, but the food here was not bad. We had some great things (duck) and some "ok" things (noodles from the noodle bar). We couldn't complain about the food on this cruise at all. They were fairly quick with service, except at seated dinner where they allowed you to relax through the courses.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The schedule was packed. We participated in the trivia and a few other games. There was pretty much always something going on. We saw two shows, which were great and the comedians they booked were so funny.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was excellent. We had a good time playing the games with them and they were friendly and open to talk at any other time. The bar staff was always jovial and friendly, even after a long day.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was immaculate and beautiful. We loved the decor, especially the oyster shell ceiling in the Big Easy Bar. Some places were hard to get to, because you had to go one floor up or one floor down and go to the other end, but that is to be expected.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We chose get an inside stateroom, because we never spend much time in the room. I wa pleased with this room. It was clean, spacious and I had no problem at all. Even the shower was spacious. The hair dryer stunk, but next time I'll just bring my own.

Pros: Excellent decor, many activities, pleasant service

Cons: Long lines to board
