This was the worst of my 13 cruises. I hope they improve their cleanliness standards and food quality since we are booked on this ship again and my sister has refused to change sailings.
Embarkation

The parking, check in and boarding were efficient. The only issue I have with this port is that the handicap parking is a long walk from the check in building.

This was the worst food out of any cruise I have taken. We ate all lunches and most dinners in the buffet and the only vegetable available was the salad bar. I don’t consider baked potatoes to be a vegetable.
I normally love the pizza but it was always undercooked!
We ate at Sea Day brunch twice and both times the coffee served was barely warm. When I asked for new coffee that was hot it was still served barely warm.
The steakhouse was good and Cucina was ok. I didn’t care for my entree or the fact that it was not its own restaurant; just a partitioned part of a larger area.

The band in Ocean Plaza was awful and so was the soloist in the atrium. A couple of the duo’s were ok but nothing I wanted to sit and listen to for any period of time.

Our room steward was personable and kept the room stocked.

This ship needs to be sunk. On the port side of lido where the outdoor tables are one of the large windows has 3 cracks all across in different locations.
We found a cockroach in our shower and then the same day my mom saw one in a bathroom on Lido deck next to Blue Iguana. We reported the room one to our steward and he said some and to spray our bathroom. It was very disturbing when we had never seen a bug on any other ship.
The shower base was really rusty or something. It was clean but gross.
Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was smaller than other balcony rooms we have had on other ships. The TV is small. The cockroach in the bathroom led us to believe the ship is dirty and not properly cleaned.
PettySarahPetty must be commenting on a different review, as this review did not mention a "theater fee". Having stated that, (older) Carnival ships are a bit cheap and I'm not surprised by the things I read in this review. I've never wanted to sail on Carnival for this reason.
Wow!!! Sorry the things you had gone through were not good. Bugs..something isn't right. It is the oldest ship in the fleet and the name was Destiny and then sunshine. Theo ship was refurbished in 2019.
