My friend and I had a great time despite Carnival’s flaws! Would not sail Carnival again! We have platinum status from sailing with them in the past, but would not sail again.

Only show I attended was good! Family friendly comedy show was great but adult only was horrible! All they did was try to say the F word as many times as possible and make fun of guest.

Our cabin steward was Excellent!!! Waiter was good. Overall I think they tried but it seemed like they were not as excited to be there as when I’m on Celebrity ships. Aside from cabin steward, they didn’t try to go above and beyond.

Ship is old and shows it! Our cabin was clean but overall ship was not! Tables weren’t being cleaned quickly in eating areas. Many hand sanitizer machines didn’t work. Few hand washing stations! Not up to basic cleanliness much less Covid requirements!

Cabin was good! Loved our balcony! Very large! Cabin was cleaned once a day.
I recommend not sailing in peak season when it's so hot and the ships are booked to capacity. I was on the Sunshine in March and had a great time. It was also at full capacity as it was the Sailabration Cruise and I took advantage of room service or delivery to my lounger a few times and avoided lines. Also remember that ALL CRUISE LINES are suffering from crew shortages so it's the same story industry wide, not just Carnival.
Sunshine is 27 years old. Showing signs of age are to be expected.
