Review summary

Uhm, I really thought this words will never be coming out of my mouth….. My family & I were ALWAYS defending Carnival. We are loyal customers. We had sailed with them for over 18 yrs & 25 cruises. But UNFORTUNATELY….. is time to called it quit & part separate ways. This was the worst cruise we had been. Everything was bad, the food, the service, the mayoritario of the staff, the other guests. It honestly looked like we were in a “stripped club” instead of in a cruise ; 80% of the women ALWAYS naked showing everything, @ breakfast, at lunch, @ dinner, @ casino. It didn’t matter . And Carnival implements rules that they DONT follow up or reenforce. Don’t get me wrong I don’t have ANYTHING against dressing sexy or using thongs. I just think there’s a place for everything. And this was a family cruise. There are tons of kids that are NOT exposed to this type of lifestyle that was going on all day , every day @ this ship. In my opinion Carnival should start having ADULTS ONLY cruises for everyone that desire to be engaging in these kind of “fun” & that’s wants to be naked @ all times, twerking, & having sex with cloths in public places! The worst part is the lines for the food. Imagine this, The lines for the food are always long. You have like 20 PPS before u, & then out of the blue one of the person in the line let her entire “crew” ahead…. I’m NOT talking about 2 or 3 family members . I’m talking about 30 . And then u said something politely & they want to eat u alive , talking profanity & showing their I’m from the hood actitud, & the security shows up & they’re more scared of them than anything. They don’t do nothing. And here i am standing after a 30 minutes in line to get food for my sick elderly mom, my 1 year old grandson standing in line that just keeps growing by the minute & that NO ONE puts a STOP to this constantly abusive behaviors. And this behavior didn’t happened once I’m talking everyday, every where & to almost everyone that I talked to had issues with this. And with the lack of staff around the ship. With sadness in my heart…. Goodbye Carnival!

Food was HORRIBLE everywhere! We were a group of 10 & 2 persons got stomach sickness. I only eat salad, fruits & ice cream the entire cruise. I’m so disappointed, sad & frustrated! Everything @ the same time.

The only good place in the ship that we enjoyed was the Serenity area. Away from the overcrowded ship.

The bands did an amazing job. Especially the Latin Fiesta. And the trio forgot the name. Sorry!!

I’ll give 2 stars for the great effort from the staff. Is so sad to see the staff so overwhelmed , se them give their ALL, but they still felt short. They did tried to help & pleased everyone but it was impossible since the ship is so understaffed. And also overcrowded with cruisers.

Disembarkation

Carnival had changed so much the debarkation process. In this ocasión was a complete disaster. It took us almost 3.5 hours to leave the port. From the lines to catch an elevator,the lines to debark, to pass through immigration & catch the shutter to the parking. Since ship docked on terminal C & the parking is in F. Oh!! & thank GOD we were ALL express checkout , & carried our luggage.

Just got off the Carnival Sunrise from the June 24, 2024 itinerary and have to agree with the comments in this post. I also want to add that on Deck 8 Aft, there was a large group of loud and obnoxious people who stay out till 4 am and returned to the cabins fighting and yelling until 5 am the morning of June 27, 2024. Horrible experience and Carnival did nothing to curtail the problems. As mentioned in the original post, the staff definitely appeared to favor the disorderly customer at the cost of other paying customers. It is always sad when folks can’t leave their “hood” attitude back in the hood!

Sadly I have to agree with most of your comments. We noticed and experienced the same thing on our last cruise out of NOLA on Valor. The days of most people dressing with class and some modesty, and respecting others have long departed in a large portion of today’s society. We can blame it on the way they were raised, social media, the me mentality that’s entered the world and so much more, but bottom line, I truly think people nowadays don’t want to change and enjoy showing their a**es literally in more ways than lack of clothing. Sorry, off my soapbox 🤪 Hope you find another cruise line that’s enjoyable to you and your family. Try RC or Celebrity.
