Rough sailing, ship was moving back and forth the whole ship, most people on the ship were sick, service were horrible, gift shops were over prices , people were fist fighting, couples were fist fighting in there rooms, kids were out of control, security is non existent, food was horrible. I will never cruise Carnival again.
Embarkation

Leaving the ship was the best part of the trip. Wasnt to bad other than people didnt want to follow rules.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
service in the dining room for evening dinner was amazing, the food was not, golden corral quality. The people working in the Pizza Restaurant didn't want to serve anyone so they hid in the kitchen, the food in general was horrible, we left the ship and immediately went to a restaurant on shore.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
The pools are tiny, and over crowded, there were so many out of control kids at the pool, cussing like sailors in front of smaller children and adults.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
The comedy shows were horrible, the comedian spent 15 minutes of his 30 minute set asking questions like are there any 30 year olds in the crowd, ok let give it up for the 30 year old etc.. You they had events that were scheduled but did not even happen, such as scotch and watches..
Children's Programs
2 out of 5
the kids club was solid, but so are many day cares.
Service and Staff
1 out of 5
room steward and dining room service was good, but the rest of the staff was not.
Ship Quality
1 out of 5
dirty, run down ship. Roaches and the place smelled like weed. Keep in mind Weed vapes are easily smuggled onboard, and they are used everywhere on Carnival, my 3 and 4 years old don't need to be exposed to that.
Cabin / Stateroom

Tiny, basic, Tv dint want to work right half the time, limited programming and the shower is something you might see in a jail I would imagine.
Ship tip
Dont sail Carnival unless your someone who want to smoke weed and or have horrible kids with potty mouths, you will fit right in if thats the case.
Miami was ok, Jamaica was a dumpster fire, imagine getting off a ship and having 300 people coming at you trying to sell you something or a tour, and the whole port is like this, water taxi's for the other stop was just a joke takes to long as there isn't a real port....
No port, water taxi needed, and if you don't book a carnival excursion (over priced excursion) the you have to wait at the end of the line to get a water taxi which is about noon and you have to be back on the ship by 3.
Thanks for sharing this, not surprising to read everything was bad. I once heard that a person having a bad day is having a bad day everywhere they go. This appears to be a prime example of that phrase. Loved the title, ha-ha, but why it wasn’t surprising. Yep, it is the Walmart, GC and DG of the high seas but you’re paying those lower rates too, so as others note, go higher dollar next time like Disney.
I’m assuming you thought you were going to the Ritz Carlton. Nope your on a Ship in the water where there is Weather/ rough seas and sunny days/ smooth seas. You just don’t know what your going to get. As for the ports, you should have done more research on Shipmate & or YouTube.
Try it again Cruising is what you make it.
Something can go wrong on a cruise, but when its everything including the port of calls, one has to look at himself in the mirror and wonder if the problem is not facing him...
If you had a bad experience onboard AND rated all the ports as 1-star, I have to believe the problem is with you, not the cruise line or vacation in general. The best cruise ever can still be ruined with a bad attitude.
