Review summary

Princess Cay was nice and relaxing. Nassau private tour was excellent. Enjoyed chilling out on balcony.

Embarkation

Very easy and quick for me because I had booked a suite. Nice to see the lounge area open again. Makes the process far less stressful for me.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Dined almost exclusively in MDR and Italian for lunch since it’s free. Had buffet one lunch and it was fine. Only thing I did find is the menu is becoming dated. I normally settle for something I really don’t want on the final evening. I think I may start doing a specialty restaurant the final evening. Service was great for all meals. Luis and his crew were very friendly.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Did not use pools as they were somewhat crowded and instead enjoyed the ocean at Princess Cay. The ocean was quite choppy most of the trip so you could enjoy pool water just by walking near the pool! I felt most activities revolved around spending money and I’m not into shopping. Casino was nice but felt small. Trivia was fun when people didn’t google answers but I lost interest by day 3. Serenity area is nice but again felt small compared to Conquest (as an example). Did not use fitness center this cruise.

Entertainment

Cruise director was friendly (Ty) but not excited or over the top like some however a lot of people commented that he was boring. The Fun Squad was very pleasant. The musicians were generally good. The shows bored me a bit because I’ve seen them before and the Jazz show where they do pop music in a jazz format just wasn’t my thing and was a bit cringe worthy (and I’ve seen it 3x). The lighting is the Christmas tree night one was really boring. I expected more.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All were friendly especially our room attendant Leisl who was such a calming presence and extremely kind. Our MDR wait staff. One of the room attendants on our floor (9) was a total pouty jerk throughout the trip. I believe his name was Trice. Young man, bad attitude! Shouting at passengers day one because he was angry it was announced rooms were open and HE wasn’t ready and that HE should be the one saying when rooms were done. He continued to pout the entire trip. Coffee shop staff was fun. Magician walking around at dinner (from casino I believe) was kind too.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Cleanliness A. Design C. Venues small and very little space to sit and people watch. It’s all being taken over by the photo people.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Size was excellent. Bed comfy. Temp control a bit wonky (kept curtains closed so AC could keep up). Balcony door did not lock and handle was hard to use to get back in. Nice tub/shower but hard to get into. Nice closet spaces. Area of ship is quiet but you will walk far to MDR (tip - stay on 9 and walk through Lido, take after elevator down near adult pool). Room was very clean except lamps near bed were dusty (achoo!).

Disembarkation

Waited 10 minutes In Radiance Dining room and was escorted off ship. At my hotel by 8:15.
