This was my first back to back. I was glad I had the two sailings booked as certainly wasn't ready to disembark after the first cruise. Service on the ship is great.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was organized and moved quickly. The reduced capacity and staggered check-in times kept the terminal from being too crowded and allowed for social distancing.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was plentiful, prepared well, and ample variety. Service in the buffet was as good as MDR. The buffet attendants were friendly and helpful. Always ready to get drinks or anything else that was wanted.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Nothing spectacular but nothing lacking. Bingo, Trivia, Karaoke, Live bands, etc.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Production shows were great. Latin Nighrs and Soulbound.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff was attentive, friendly, accommodating and generally happy to be back. You could see that they were going out of their way to ensure cruisers were having a good time.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Sunrise is a typical ship for those that like traditional cruising. It's been upgraded to add Water works slide and additional dining options. The ship is split with deck 5 being the bridge using a trip through the casino.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Forward cabin with great view. It was clean and comfortable with ample storage for a solo cruiser. It contains a fridge and desk stool but no other seating so if you're in the cabin for an extended period, you're definitely sitter lounging on the bed.
Ship tip
Solarium is a great alternative to the pool and has ample lounging space and comfortable seating.
#GrammaMarietta I saw some kids but not a lot. I went after Labor Day so school was in full swing. There were a few kids in her age group on board so hopefully on your sailing she'll be able to meet up with others and make friends.
Thank you for sharing. Did you see many kids on board? It’s just me and my almost 11 yr old granddaughter. Hoping she can meet a friend to hang out with.
