This cruise made us seriously contemplate if we would ever go on another cruise with Carnival. Lack of dress code, the crowd, and the lack of service they used to give has us wondering if we should return. In one instance, our niece busted her knee by the slide area. Her mother went to the local bar area to obtain an ice pack. They were clueless about what to do and told her to go to Client Services. Her mother spoke to about three people who appeared unwilling to help.
Embarkation

Embarkment was easy and without delay. Pretty smooth. No complaints and the people were friendly.

Food and Dining

Fahrenheit 555 was worth the additional cost. The food was fantastic. The meals at the main dining were on par. We had no complaints about the menu choices. I am allergic to shellfish so the team was attentive and accommodating in preparing my food separately.

Our niece thoroughly enjoyed going to the kid's center.
Service and Staff

Wayan was our room steward. He was amazing and attentive. The Dining waiters were average. They knew my name, probably because of my shellfish allergy, however, I never heard them use the names of those in our party. Our first cruise on Carnival Victory back in 2005 has spoiled us to the level of service to expect. We have not received that type of service since.
Ship Quality

I have to say that the layout of this ship was confusing, especially when trying to get to the Sunshine dining area.
Cabin / Stateroom

Room 1025 was a Cloud 9 Spa room with a balcony. I LOVED it. It was the perfect size for the two of us. We enjoyed the amenities we received in the Spa area because of being in that room, such as the free uses of the saunas, steam rooms, and thermal chairs.
Ship tip
I was highly surprised at the outfits people were allowed to wear. Though the dining is supposed to be business casual, we saw body parts that are still burned in our eyes. One of the reasons we may not go back to Carnival.
We have visited this port previously. We always do an excursion to Dunn's River Falls. I understand that tourism is the biggest piece of financial gain for this area; however, we hate the aggressive sales pitches.
OMG!!! The ultimate worse time getting off a ship. We have disembarked in Ft. Lauderdale before and never had the time delay or issues. First, we could not get off the ship until 9:45 because of our room location (10th floor). Then we got into a long line to locate our luggage. Had to get out of line to get luggage and then had to get at the end of a longer line to get through customs. Carnival should take lessons from their sister company, Princess Cruises, and their competitors.
I apologize... Maybe I was mistaken. Is this site for writing reviews about a cruise experience or is it where we bully people for having a difference of opinion or experience?? You choose to not worry about what to wear. I'm fine with that but the cruises do have dress codes. I like "wine" but apparently one thinks that because I wrote about an experience, I'm whining... and for the doctor comment, again, it's a bullying comment made when someone else had a difference of experience or opinion. If you disagree, you could have been constructive and tell me how you had a better experience. It would have been so much more helpful for those reading.
