Review summary
The best part of the cruise was the time spent with our family away from phones and the internet.
This was our first cruise, so we didn't know what to expect. We were disappointed that the ship did not have all of the kids activities that were advertised. There was supposed to be a water works jungle gym that kids could climb on and instead there was a water slide that had "waterworks" written on it. Also, the advertisement said there would be a skycourse and sportsquare. While there were some sport activities such as, ping pong and shuffleboard, these do not look at all like the photos on the website. The mini golf was a poor excuse for mini golf. I could keep adding to the list, but I want to move on to the adult entertainment and the food.
The adult entertainment was as good as you would find in a small town lounge. In fact, we went to a piano show that turned out to be a poor excuse for show tunes and the pianist was only pretending to play!
We were not at all impressed with the food. It was all you could eat, but banquet style in the dining room and the rest was the cheapest quality foods.
We will likely not go on a cruise again as it was too controlled and the time in the ports was not long enough to really experience the islands we visited.

Ship tip
Bring cash to tip the service staff. If the tips are added to the receipt, it goes to a large pot to be split up. If you hand the money directly to the staff, they will get to keep it.
