Review summary

This was my first cruise on Carnival. I usually sail on Norwegian or Princess. I honestly had very low expectations based on what I had heard about carnival but was pleasantly surprised. The food was good, crew was friendly. The cruise director, Leigh, was one of the best I’ve seen. The ship is very unique. Some of the decor is pretty cheesy and gaudy but I think that kinda made it fun. They are renovating and updating the ship next month so I’m excited to see it once it’s done. My only two real complaints were that some stuff especially in the staterooms, is just really worn down and in desperate need of updating. (Which will come with the renovation I’m sure. So I can overlook that). The only other thing is that the layout is quite strange. A lot of dead ends and difficult to reach areas. We figured it out pretty well by the end, just a little tough to navigate. So I’m sure that will be improved with the renovations too. Other than that, we had a great time.
