Review summary

Less than a month ago we went on a Caribbean cruise on this ship (Carnival Paradise). This was our cruise so we didn't have high expectations but they managed to stomp even that.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
This is by far the worst thing on this ship. The food was terrible. I am known as a person who would eat pretty much anything but wow...to pay 1000 dollars for 2 people and to have old microwaved food served for lunch and dinner? Nothing\, except for breakfast and the poolside grill\, seems to be prepared fresh. Not even the pizza! Frozen/Microwaved/Greasy. Terrible food. I've talked to people who have been on different ships and different cruise lines for way cheaper than this and they were very disappointed too.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Very very little entertainment which makes days at sea very dull and boring. Maybe I'd go swim at the pool but the 7 people that were in it already crowded it up lol :)

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff is excellent. They are always willing to help you and give you advice and direction. Very pleasant experience.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Very very poor layout. It's an older ship that has been renovated but you still can't get away from a poor layout. It has 2 pools - but I wouldn't really call them pools. The first one (the bigger one) is very very small for a ship of that size - again\, due to a poor layout. The 2nd of the two pools is like a supersized hot-tub.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Very old and dingy. The renovation money didn't go into this obviously.

Pros: Excursions / Niceness of the staff

Cons: Ship / Food (...really?)

Recommends Carnival Paradise? No.
