Review summary

On top of the unwanted detour, it smelled like mildew from the pool that fell in from the roof the week prior. although it is not in their control, the weather was horrible. everyone was wearing jeans and sweaters and the big robe they have available in the room as well as the towel being used as a blanket. I hate the morning that we have to leave because they want you up and out of there by 8:30 AM. They need to extend that to at least 10:00AM. The staff was nice and helpful. They need some upgrades on the carpet and maybe some updated interior decoration (its been like that forever). Oh, and there was fight and the girl kept swinging on people inlcuding the security guards. They never restrained her and so she kept attacking people. They need way better security procedures. At one point people were just yelling out "cuff her or pepperspray her." She was out of control and nobody knew how to handle it.

Ports of call

Catalina Island, California

Well, we had planned to go jet skiing but that didnt work out because the weather was horrible. There are a few bars that were good but there isnt a whole lot to do if it is cold. If its hot and good weather then there is jet skiis you can rent, parasailing, even renting out a golf cart to explore the island (with limitations of course)

Cons: First, we were not compensated for the detour that we had to take from firsts going to Ensenda to now Catalina. They didnt even give onboard credit considering that we paid more then what others paid because of the detour.

Recommends Carnival Paradise? No.
