Review summary

A fun relaxing cruise to Baja California. Just roll with the punches because of everything going on and you will have an amazing time.

Embarkation

We boarded late this time and there was a line outside. Honestly I think it’s because of the cruise before delayed the ship due to covid sadly.

MDR and Buffet still isn’t to brag about. Honestly carnival buffet and MDR doesn’t come close to what it once was. However the speciality restaurants are amazing. What’s even better is most are included for lunch so you can try them for free.

Onboard Activities

I’m rating this 5 stars still because the panorama has a lot to offer. However just know cruising right now….well you have to roll with the punches. Things are going to be different. For example all the shows on this cruise were done in concert style with no dancing. Just 4 singers staying in there spot on stage singing. This was of course because of covid and members of the cast having covid.

Ship Quality

She is still a new ship. Maiden was Dec 2019 then covid hit so she hasn’t really been sailing long. Due to this you can differently tell she is new. Which was a nice change to the other carnival ships I have been on. She isn’t like the older carnival ships that feel like a 80s casino. She is all grown up and modern. However I know some prefer the old styling and she doesn’t have a personality like the other carnival ships.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had an inside this cruise. It was nice and new and had all the basics you need. However there isn’t a lot of storage. Which was difficult being an 8 day cruise. You will have to get creative if your a family of four in an inside cabin.

I was on this cruise. I agree with buffet food, but was rarely disappointed in the MDR food. The steakhouse was very good, but I didn't care for the Teppenyaki.
