Review summary

Having been to Ensenada many times, there are several things I enjoy doing occasionally and sometimes I just stay onboard. But it’s a lovely port!

Embarkation

Super quick process…had Passport, Covid Vaccine Card and digital negative Covid test results in hand…onboard shortly after 11 AM

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Husband and I decided to forgo the dining room this weekend… So some of my usuals were not enjoyed, but the usuals I did eat did not disappoint. The only items that were (not surprisingly) blah were some of the desserts in the buffet… They are usually hit or miss and so we have lowered expectations there.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There’s never a shortage of activities, but because we are creatures of habit who have experienced many of the different novelty entertainment options onboard, we limited ourselves to trivia, casino and some people watching because that’s oftentimes infinitely more entertaining than what’s on the stage at any given time…LOL!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Always awesome! We tipped our stateroom steward extra at the beginning and throughout the weekend, it seemed that he intuitively knew exactly what to anticipate for us…we didn’t ask for anything, (actually other than an in-passing remark about ice for sodas) and then we forgot about it until Sunday afternoon when we saw that our little metal ice thingy was full! They only service your room once/day now so you will have an opportunity to pick morning or evening.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I haven’t been on the Miracle since 2014 and I forgot how hilariously and awesomely tacky some of the areas are… But I’m not there to judge design… I’m there to have fun! It was cool seeing Frankenstein in the club again, although it was the middle of the afternoon while I was re-familiarizing myself and didn’t go back to dance with him when the club was hopping! I also forgot how fun it was to walk down lower deck paths and explore in what seemed like little secret areas. This class of ship is still one of my favorites!

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a free Ocean Suite. Would not pay for it otherwise, because there’s not enough time to really enjoy it during a three day getaway, but since we have some pretty awesome deals on suites, who the hell are we to decline? 😃❤️🛳

Ship tip

Please anytime you are going to Ensenada, message me for the most amazingly wonderful taxi driver there. We have hired him repeatedly and he has literally become a friend/part of the family. Please don’t be an asshole when it comes to wearing your mask…leave your personal politics in Long Beach and just go with the flow… in the grand scheme of things, it is a small price to pay to get back to doing what we love! ❤️🛳

Disembarkation

Always my least favorite part of the process… Easy enough getting off, but always bittersweet because it’s the end.
