We've sailed on Carnival four times. This was our second on the Miracle. An older, smaller ship but very clean and in good condition. While it tends to attract a little older crowd (not so many 20 somethings) the size allows you to get to know your fellow passengers and see each other throughout the cruise.
I suffer from motion sickness, so the smaller ship can be an issue if we run into bad weather (which we did on night 3 or 4). But overall, a nice ship with wonderful crew-we had a great time!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We choose "anytime dining" because we like the option of going at different times, even though we tend to eat about the same time each evening. The food was excellent, a great variety and very nice dining room. Not crazy about the decor but thats a personal preference. We really did like that they had a standard menu of staple items available each night as well as the new menu. Items such as steak, fruit salad, comfort food like southern fried chicken etc. Nice to have the option if the more "adventurous foods" were not for you.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Always something to do! And if you couldn't find something you liked, well, there was something wrong with you! From great shows to excellent comediens to trivia and crossword puzzles-- something for everyone and all styles!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
As always, Carnival's staff were excellent. We had the best dining room staff! Super service, very friendly and fun! We had a blast each night at dinner! Overall, the staff was great. Consistently greeted by any crew member we ran into.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Very clean and in very good condition.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had an extended balcony for a great price (thank you !). The little bit of extra space was great. Three of us shared a stateroom with a king bed and the twin sofa. Plenty of room for us and all our belongings. Nice to all be able to sit on the balcony and relax in the early morning or when docking in port.
Pros: The itinerary was great.
Cons: Smaller Carnival ship. A potential issue if you have issues with seasickness.
