Fine, but lackluster compared to previous sailings.

Food and Dining

The food on this ship could only be described as “meh”. Occasionally cold, pretty bland, but decent variety for an older ship.

Standard Carnival fare, but great comedians in the Punchliner.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Carnival’s crew is well, FUN! We always have a good time and friendly service out and about on the ship. Unfortunately, a lot of the crew seemed overwhelmed and overworked. We felt really bad for the people who always make our cruise special, which took the wind out of my sails a little this trip.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Having sailed on the Liberty several times, she’s looking much worse for the wear these days. Carpets have seen better days, the vinyl on many of the seating options is peeling or cracking, and the cleanliness was not well-maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
We were in an interior with porthole stateroom, which was serviceable but showed its age. The lights clink when you turn them on, the cleanliness could be improved, and the bathroom is (as usual) teeny tiny. Great storage, though, and the porthole option for an interior price was lovely.
Ship tip
Take your time learning the layout of the ship. This class tends to be maze-like, a little confusing at first. Note that there is an upper deck in the buffet that serves decent barbecue and has plenty of seating as many do not know it is there.
We felt a little rushed this time around, and it was clear to us that many passengers were confused in the debarkation process. The platinum lounge was overcrowded and not well organized morning of.
