I enjoyed the Casino (fun 21 in particular) and the piano bar. It was a short cruise, but it served its purpose. It was a bachelor’s trip for my buddy and we all had a good time. Drinks and food were very good.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was incredibly fast. Check in took less than 5 minutes and had to wait approximately 30 minutes to start boarding. It was a seamless process.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food was actually much better on the Carnival Liberty than other ships. I cruised on the Carnival Sunshine in January and the food was not very good, but the food on the Liberty was very good. Considering that it’s a cruise and food is mass produced for thousands of people, it was very good.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
There didn’t seem to be a ton of activities that drew my attention. I understand that there are plenty of things to do (in theory), but not many stood out to me. The piano bar was fun though.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The comedy shows are always fun to go to, but like everything else, they can be hit and miss. The comedian on the last night was very good though.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff was very friendly and provided good service. The bar wait times were not the fastest, but considering how many people were trying to get drinks, it wasn’t awful.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship as a whole seemed pretty clean and orderly, however there would be random whiffs of vomit as you passed certain areas of the ship) mainly outside of the nightclub and near the bar in the casino.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had an interior cabin on floor 6. It was clean and wasn’t very dated. It sufficed for a 3 day cruise. It’s not like you spend much time in the cabin anyway. The cabin was located above the casino but I never heard any noise whatsoever from anything above or below us.
Ship tip
Just enjoy yourself, relax and have fun. The cruise is what you make it and if you look for things to complain about, I guess you could find them, but why do that?
This is the slowest debarkation I’ve ever had. Our group left about 30 minutes after they called the first group to debark and it took about an hour and half to get through the process. If you had a passport it goes much quicker.
