Review summary

This was overall a very fun cruise!! The only things I would recommend that they do better is their food quality and temperature and redecorate the ship. The ship was really gaudy.

Carnival needs to step up their game when it comes to food. Most of the food is mediocre and a lot of the time it wasn't even warm.

There always seems to be plenty to do on these carnival ships. It's definitely a fun ship.

One thing I love about carnival is their service. They always have the best service.

This ship was very clean, but I don't understand the design of it at all. It was gaudy and weird. They have Greek columns by paintings of geisha. Nothing seemed to make sense in the decorating scheme.

Ship tip

The liberty is a nice smaller ship. If you're not looking for every single bell and whistle, you will like this ship.

The older Carnival ships are definitely a bit gaudy. They toned it down with the Dream class (Dream, Magic and Breeze); Vista class are more modern and not gaudy at all (Vista, Panorama and Horizon); and the the new Excel class, I’m still anxious to sail, but the pics online show beautiful ships that are a far cry from the older vessels. I recommend checking out one of the classes mentioned above for your next cruise. Glad your overall experience was positive.
