Review summary

There is no coordination between cruise.com and carnival cruise. After booking they try to blame each other for reservations and other details. I had to make a conference call with both of them to make sure all our requests regarding food and celebration are in place. But despite all efforts nothing coordinated. MY FIRST AND LAST CRUISE EXPERIENCE

we had made request for halal food.But no one on the ship were informed about our request.We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday and our wedding anniversary.No one were informed about that too.At the time of booking we were informed to celebrate the birthday on 31st May despite going and reminding the hostess the server didnt do it. and anniversary on 2nd June. I again went on 1st and reminded the hostess again and forcefully celebrate my husband's birthday.I gave up on our anniversary celebration.The food served on bahamas island was very unhygenic which made my daughter sick.The food on the mongolian wok on the ship is overrated and around 2.30 they just want to make the food half cooked and serve the guests.It was my turn to get sick .I was down with vomiting .

I was told there was a fridge to store my husbands insulin.I was informed its a cooler not a fridge so got a tub of ice to store the insulin that fluctuated the storage temperature and now my husband got sick.Despite buying insurance its of no use .When I called for medical assisstance for my husband they said i have to pay $120 to be seen by a doctorand was told the insurance does not cover it.Just wasted money buying medical insurance

Myself and my daughter had got bug bites.I did show to the steward but he said he couldnt find anything in the beds and asked if we could get some extermination service done but I didn't want to get it done.

As far as the insulin complaint, the ship has small medicine coolers that can be checked out at guest services. My grandson always partakes in this service and I have as well but I find that the fridges keep my insulin in the suggested cool range.

Sorry your first cruise experience went so wrong. I agree with some of the others that, it’s better to go straight to the cruise line. Hope you are all feeling better.

I disagree that it's always better to go only with the cruise line. For us 3d party sites always give us great service, savings and significant extra benefits. Still, I agree that if you have a person with special needs you yourselve have to make sure all arrangements will be made the way you need. The same is with other special events. You can't only blame someone else.

Sorry you had such a bad time, but buyer beware! This is why you don't book through anyone but the cruiseline! Just like booking a hotel through another site to save a dollar, it's not worth it if there is a problem!!!!

I wouldn’t say fake I would say inexperienced if you have a specific “special need” you should coordinate it yourself with the cruise company relaying on another company is never a good idea I work for a major entertainment company in Orlando and deal with miscommunication and or miss information from 3party companies all the time they have good intentions but always mess things up
