Review summary

Great weekend getaway where we really had a chance to relax. Serenity adult area is perfect for this (other than no pool). The pools were so refreshing and amazingly we were able to get poolside chairs when we wanted them. Oh - and don't forget to indulge in Guy's burger bar - at least once -- Yum!!

Ship Quality

Ship was very clean. But the "decor" caught me a little off guard. We had to look when the ship was built as it felt like it was from the 90's. It did make us smile/chuckle. Almost looked like a school project where everyone contributed. It was a bit much!!

Cabin / Stateroom

Surprisingly, our inside cabin felt very roomy and was always very clean!!. Once again the decor was a little unsettling. Odd artwork and color choices. The room's safe was interesting. It wasn't the newer pick your combo to lock and open. This one required a credit card or driver license - which kind of defeats the purpose of having a safe as those would be items I want in my safe, not on my person while on the ship. But generally no complaints. All was great!! And I am definitely ok with the new once a day room cleaning.

Ship tip

Check out the Alchemy bar ... some really tasty drinks found nowhere else.

Appreciate your feedback. Yep, Carnival has had trouble moving to more tranquil color schemes. Glad you enjoyed your cruise in spite of this.
