Our cruise was only 3-days and we felt very relaxed when we arrived home. It is a great way to spend a long weekend and you get a lot for your money.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
I have gone on at least 12 cruises on different cruise lines and Carnival has the easiest embarkation process. There are employees everywhere who will guide you through the process so you don't get lost or answer any questions. All were friendly and helpful. It was an easy process and moved along quickly.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We did not have a set time for dinner, so I was concerned that we would have to wait a long time before being seated. To my surprise, we were seated within 2-3 minutes each night and this was during the peak dinner times. The wait staff greeted us by name and were very polite and attentive. Entrees in the dining room were perfect with a wonderful selection each night. We were invited to attend a tasting with the cruise chef and tasted approximately 12 entrees that were absolutely delicious. It was an awesome experience! The buffet is a little limiting at lunch; however, guests also have the choice of hamburgers (delicious) and Mexican food (I did not try this option, but heard it was great).
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Lots of activities for all ages. You can be as active as you want. We played bingo and putt-putt, learned new line dances, and relaxed in the adult only hot tub. And of course did some onboard shopping.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
There are music venues for all tastes. We enjoyed the comedians each night. The stage shows were very professional. The Farewell Party was the best! The cruise director, Alex, really got the energy going and everyone was having a great time dancing in the Atrium.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All were very attentive and made sure the guest were happy. Our room was cleaned promptly and we always had a towel animal each day. It was exciting coming back to our room to see what animal we would have that day.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship was easy to maneuver once you figured out which elevator you needed for each activity floor.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The ocean view room on the 6th floor was a little small; however, we did not spend much time there so it worked out fine. There is plenty of storage in the closets and drawers.
Disembarkation
5 out of 5
Easiest disembarkation process I ever experienced. Guest carrying their luggage off the ship were allowed to leave first which eliminated a lot of the crowd. We were able to stay in the room until 8:30 a.m. then go eat breakfast. By the time we finished breakfast, it was time for our zone to disembark and we headed down and the line through customs went very fast. It was very orderly and I did not feel like I was being run over by other passengers trying to leave the ship.
Omg I loved Alex! We took this cruise in June of last year and he was the best! Professional, funny, and knew how to get the crowd going. Going again in November I hope he's still there.
