Review summary

The ship was very easy to get around, and become familiar with. The movies at sea where wonderful; we even got to see the Tigers beat the Yankees on the BIG SCREEN; priceless! The food was MUCH better than we had remembered, very very good, and appropriate portions, not too much, nor too little. The entertainment was good, but now that we've seen the same shows twice, time to change up? The ship decor was quite '70's and that could be redone, but otherwise don't change a thing !!!

Staff eager to help\, changed our dining preference with ease\,food was impecable\, really impressed us\, and we have cruised with many other lines -this was IMPRESSIVE !!!

Entertainment

Music and entertainment great with exception of the piano bar;the main reason we came back to this particular ship the 2nd time! He was too laid back\, and didn't able to get the joint jumpin' - 1st cruise the place was packed 2 yrs ago paino player was blond-this time the new piano player brunette\,could barely keep people there.

Service and Staff

Entire staff with one exception were exceptional - the staff that swept the pool deck at Adult pool\, neither attentive nor caring; two people fell due to wet areas and we pointed it out to two different staff with mops\, they merely went through the motions and didn't seem to really care.

Ship Quality

Very easy to get around the ship\, kept clean in all public areas\, several different eating venues\, appreciated.The decor could be redone\, not to our liking\, otherwise great!

Cabin / Stateroom

Accomodations were kept clean throughout the cruise\, extra pillows were no problem\, towel animals a cute addition\,and shower/bathroom kept spotless ! A+

Pros: Miriad of things to choose from\, and places to relax on board

Cons: Pianist in the piano bar was a bit too laid back\, didn't get the place jumpin' like the last piano player you had 2 years ago on same ship

Recommends Carnival Freedom? Yes!
