Review summary

The decor was faded and worn looking in the buffet area, but everything was kept clean. Staff/crew were pleasant and friendly, steward was most efficient. There were rumors of many getting ill but not official word. There should be hand sanitizer machines at EACH buffet entry and the entries to all other venues on board. There were three great bands but very little space for dancing, especially trying to use a hall/passageway at the casino to dance to great Latin music. Out of four comedians, one was funny. Food was good, not great, have no idea what was passed off as scrambled eggs. Great chocolate chip cookies. Good milkshakes for purchase.

One out of four comedians was funny. The three main bands on the Freedom, May 5-13 were exceptionally great, professional, wonderful to dance to, accommodating to requests, and very talented.

Service and Staff

Our steward Bamrung learned our names right away and was always efficient and helpful. Theodoro a bar server was excellent also.

Ship Quality

Buffet layout was odd and inefficient. Faded sofas. Cheap-looking Statue of Liberty faces. Everything was clean and continuous cleaning occurred daily.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our ocean-view room was spacious, clean, enough drawer and closet space. It would have helped to have some slacks hangers in the closet. Bed/mattress was very soft and slept like a hammock. Maybe time to replace?

Pros: Getting the passengers on & off except for disembarkation was very smooth and organized.

Cons: Disembarkation was chaos for those of us taking our own bags off early. Guest cooperation wasn't what it should have been, but staff & crew were sending folks to different decks to get off, putting us on the elevator, taking us back off and made us walk down to "0" deck dragging our luggage.

Recommends Carnival Freedom? Yes!
