Review summary

Unfortunately, we were booked on Deck 4 where we had difficulty sleeping since we can hear the engine all night long.  On the last day, the engine noise became louder since we were on rough seas.  Therefore, we became so dizzy that we requested for room service to give us medicine for seasickness as well as sandwiches.  It was not a pleasant cruise at all!!

Front and rear are the two worse place to be. Middle section of the ship is the best place to be if you are prone to sea sickness.

We were on 4 in oct. and we didn't have any noise problem.... but we always bring ear plugs and a sound machine. never know when you'll get honeymooners next door. lol

We ALWAYS research our room

I agree if you need them sea bands are the way to go. My wife and daughter use them instead of taking medication. The seas never bother me.

Midships mid decks is always a good place to be. And for the seasickness I am telling you Sea Bands are the way to go. We were on a cruise in Alaska in July and it was so rough that people were running out of the dining room and throwing up. I was nauseous, sent hubby to ship store and got the bands. Put them on and in 10 minutes I was like let's go to dinner! Much cheaper at Walgreens or CVS!

sorry :-( I'm glad I researched the cabins for our 1st upcoming cruise. middle ship away from engine noise and I'll be bringing meds for motion sickness.

I agree about the earplugs, I always bring them. Also you should ALWAYS do your research before you select your cabin. Every ship has some rooms that aren't the best choice noise-wise whether their under an engine, anchor or dance club. It's up to YOU to check out deck plans and reviews online before you pick your room or ask a travel agent.
