Embarkation

Very smooth, and the staff was very friendly and ready to have passengers again. In addition, the terminal was nice and well taken care of.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food and drink on this cruise was excellent. The food at the main dining room every night was great and despite the older ship, all the food was up to standard on other Carnival ships. Lunch everyday was delicious and had a lot of variety. As for the drinks, they were nice and strong as well as flavorful. My favorite is the Kiss on the Lips, although we found that the Pineapple Colada was really good.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There was a lot to do. The activities were definitely limited compared to newer Carnival ships, but all in all, everything was great. The pool was nice and large, the hot tubs by the main pool could get crowded, although the hot tubs in Serenity Adults Only Retreat were more often open. The 5 water slides at Carnival Waterworks were a blast, mini golf was fun, and I found a Bocci ball court near the mini golf which my family loved to play. Finally, there was always plenty of loungers to sit down on.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The Playlist Production Shows were a little different due to staffing issues, although cot was still a great and different show. The comedians were so funny I lost my breath for several moments, and all the musicians were really talented.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff on this ship was phenomenal. Many of the crew memorized my kids names, and the service in the main dining room was really fast. There was always a bar staff around to order any drinks. All the staterooms were really clean. The ship was also always being cleaned by the crew. It was impossible to find a dirty spot.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
As I mentioned earlier, the ship was really really really clean. As for the layout, the ship is smaller and very familiar to me. Although for newcomers, it is pretty easy to find out where you are heading.
Cabin / Stateroom

We got a Grand Suite Extended Balcony…which was just amazing. The balcony was huge, and the room was massive, and normally we don’t spend much time in the room, however this room was so good for hosting the whole entire family that was on the cruise, and everything was so comfortable. Especially the beds, I don’t know what Carnival does with their beds, but they are heavenly. I got the best sleep ever on that cruise.
Ship tip
Don’t feel pressured to do an excursion, enjoy a ship day when less people are on the ship.
We didn’t stop in Princess Cays due to the weather. The water and wind was too extreme for the tenders to reliably operate. However we went to Freeport to make up for the missed stop.
