Don't go on carnival, terrible customer service, terrible food, terrible atmosphere, and they close most of the bars by 8pm.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
We originally had an embarkation time from 10am to 1030am, due to a sunken ship in the channel things were very delayed. This obviously was not carnivals fault, however how they handled it was deplorable. They gave few updates on when we would be able to get on the ship, and the decision they came up with was to tell everyone to show up between 8pm and 12pm and if you weren't on the boat by 11pm you weren't getting on. They told 6500 to show up at the same time and attempt to get on the boat. 8pm rolls around and nobody has begun to get on, 9pm rolls around and the same thing. People are passing out. Ambulances being called, and sheriff's being summoned to the scene. They had 1 door that they were trying to force 6k people through, but there were no lines, no order, no communication, so it just became a mosh pit. There are tons of different ways they could have done this in a more orderly fashion. We finally got inside and at each step they would tell us we don't need the boarding pass or passport and we could put it away, only for the people at the next step to ask us to pull it out again. It was chaos and a horrible start to a horrible cruise.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
The main dining room food was terrible, over or undercooked, different items were delivered than what they had listed on the menu, tiny tiny portions. And to make it worse they had someone walking around yelling and hollering about buying shots while we are trying to have a nice dinner.

Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The attendant for our room, a few bartenders, and some of the people that cleaned the smoking area were amazing. The guest services people hung up on me multiple times, lied to me, and were generally terrible at their jobs.

Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
For the price of the cabin, it was extremely small, even given cruise ship room sizes.
They had two different ways to get off the boat, express or bag drop the night before. We chose express since we figured it would get us off the ship earlier. But while they are doing express, they are calling the people who dropped their bags the night before to also disembark, so it took three hours to get off the boat.
Sorry You Had A Bad Trip But It’s Not How It Always Is So I’d Try A Smaller Ship. I’ll Agree Food Isn’t That Great. But Only Bar I Found That Closed Early Was On 16th By Pool. But Most Stayed Open Till 11-11:30pm.
If the ship just left three days ago on a seven night cruise, how did you experience all of this, including debarkation? Seems suspicious and may be someone with a grudge against the Cruise Line?
