This was a cruise to just sit back, see some blue water and we got exactly what we were looking for. We alway do excursions, but this time we stayed on the ship and really enjoyed doing so.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Compared to other cruise lines it seemed a little less organized, but we were on the ship and wondering around quickly.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
All restaurants that we used were extremely well staffed and super friendly and the food was average.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Pools seemed a little small for the ships size.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The two shows that we saw were great. The ships band was one of the best cover bands that I’ve see in a long time. They also had a really good acoustic guitar/singer and a violin trio that was really good. After that, there was not much of interest to do during the day that I could find. It was very disappointing that they played the Houston Texans game in several places like it was a playoff game but didn’t offer the World Cup games anywhere. People were having to stream the USA-Iran on their phone while others were huddled around watching. I see this as a very big miss by the cruise director and I’m not even a soccer fan.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and on their game.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
This is older and it does show in areas however, it was very clean. There is always people cleaning, the restrooms were spotless.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Room size was great, closet space was plenty, and the bathroom had all the room you could ask for from a ship. The only reason for not getting a five star is that the A/C thermostat was not working and it was cold. We did not report it because it wasn’t that big a deal and we did want a repair man working in our room.
Disembarkation
2 out of 5
Much like embarkation, it seemed very unorganized. If you are COVID conscious, this will scare the crap out of you. However, they did keep you moving and they got 3000+ people off the ship in just a couple of hours.
