Overall a great solo cruise! Will definitely do again.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
No organization or regard to the appointment time. I didn’t do VeriFly but only had to show my negative test, no biggie. Got my wine and case of soda checked then on to check in. I was on the Lio deck from about 1 hood 15 minutes of arriving at the port.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The food was just ok. It seems to me that in the pass the food was much better. I looked forward to the escargot and that was no longer on the menu. In addition, 3 out the 5 nights my chocolate cake was fully cooked. That was a huge disappointment. Side note, please order your steak to be done less that you truly want it. My medium steak was done well done twice. Finally ordered medium rare and it was almost perfect. Overall, the food was not terrible, just not as good as it was previously.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Didn’t really do any activities, except the Serenity area. Was thrilled that no children were brought in there, you know there’s usually a few adults that can follow rules. Truly my pet peeve!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
As usual, fantastic. Service is always 100%!!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I was pretty much walking the halls at night and sitting on the lido deck. I was able to the effort that was put into cleanliness. It’s was extremely more than in prior cruises. Every surface was constantly disinfected! I felt very safe, although I also wore my mask and carried my own disinfectant.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Average room. Pretty quiet and not much motion. Close to the forward elevators.
Ship tip
Purchase the weeklong spa package! What a treat. The pool alone was worth the price!
Not bad at all. From the gangway to my car was 30 minutes. I must say, it was kinda difficult to get down the steps to the gangway. They called the self assist in order of the muster stations (I was B4) however I could barely get pass the people lined up on the stairs and in the hallway who who just lounging. The entire Ovation theatre was available, yet they chose to wait there even after being asked not to. That’s so annoying but not my ship so not my business. Also, as usual, the passport line was literally walk through. They have facial recognition which makes it much easier. The longest part was waiting for my muster station to be called and waiting for the shuttle.
