Cheap Breeze

Sail Date: October 13, 2012

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

This is my third cruise with Carnival and their cost cutting efforts are very evident and have been put into effect with total disregard for their guests. The food was mediocre as was the entertainment with re-runs of the ship dancers-singers bits. Facility hours are shortened resulting in long lines at critical times. On the plus side the entire staff was excellent (although the captain couldn't seem to keep the ship on schedule) as was the ships maintenance of clean attractive surroundings. The 3 shore excursions we took were very over priced and poorly organized with the guides English marginal. Will not cruise Carnival again.

Pros: Clean ship

Cons: Food\, entertainment\, facility capacity and all around obvious results of cost cutting

Recommends Carnival Breeze? No.

Ship Quality
Would have rated lower but the ships cleanliness was excellent.
Food and Dining
Wait staff was excellent. The cuts of meat\, fish offered\, mostly Talapia\, and menu offerings were less than Denny's and below average. Deseret s in the Lido were very attractive and mostly tastless.
Cabin / Stateroom
Nice size two bathrooms.
Service and Staff
Friendly and efficient\, first rate.
Repeats of programs\, 3 outside entertainers on a 12 day cruise. Dissapointing.
