Review summary

Phenomenal cruise with a large number of great ports. The cruise line pushed selling excursions way too much, but overall a great experience. Venice, Dubrovnik, Messina are all best toured on your own. No excursion necessary. Also ask about free shuttles to main sites. Cruise won't tell you about them because they want to sell excursions.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We've cruised before. The food in the dining room was excellent. The food on the lido deck not so much\, but not bad. Room service was also good. We avoided all the additional charge dining options. We found those irritating after paying for an all inclusiv cruise.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great mix of entertainment options and one of the comedians we saw in the comedy club\, Tom Pepper\, was one of the best comedians we have ever seen. That is no small statement. My wife and I go to Las Vegas 3 or 4 times a year and see a lot of comedians there.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My 12 yr old son loved Circle C.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the crew were great\, but the cruise director\, who spent way too much time pushing excursion sales.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This was only the third cruise of this new Carnival ship\, the Breeze. Fantastic facilities.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We have two adjoining staterooms on the 11th deck\, the Panorama deck\, and had amazing views from our stateroom balconies.

Pros: Some great stops including Dubrovnik\, Croatia\, which was amazing.

Cons: Touring the Vatican museum was a nightmare. People were rude\, pushing and offensive
