We loved the crew and the management. The boat was smooth and we did a lot of cruising at night so our days were free. It was quite beautiful especially as you get into the smaller towns. We liked all of it and we definitely go back
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Easy check in. They had a wide time window for checking in. No waiting in line.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
I really liked the food. There was quite a bit of variety so everybody was happy. The vegetables and fruits were fresh and well prepared. Service was great, over the top.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We mostly went on walking tours in the cities or the hop on and off bus. We had a great time doing this and got some exercise as well. The walking tours were fairly short so there was plenty of time to explore on your own.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We liked the entertainment. We danced a couple nights because the music was lively but they also had a pianist earlier in the evening who was quite good.
Children's Programs
No children with us
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The service and staff were the best part about this cruise. They were attentive and pleasant and seemed genuinely happy that we were there. Anything we needed we just looked up and could quickly catch someone’s eye for that extra cup of coffee or glass of wine. Service was great.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The boat was practically brand new and they were constantly wiping things down and polishing even though it didn’t really need it.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Just a bit scrunchie but the luggage would go under the beds. Of course, I’ve never been on a cruise and did expect a small room but it is hard to get past your spouse. But that is the nature of cruising I think in these rooms were well appointed and very clean.
Ship tip
There are different ways to know what is going on but every morning there is also a posting in the reception area that is easy to read and follow to find out what the activities for the day are. There’s also a briefing the day before. It can be a little confusing if you were not paying attention but there’s an app, a briefing, and written materials at the front desk. There’s lots to do and we had fun with all of it.
Thanks for sharing your river cruise experience, seems you had a wonderful time. I've always been curious about them but haven't yet booked one. Not sure what the solo traveller experience would be, but a river cruise is on my bucket list.
