This trip originated in Prague and concluded in Paris.

Cabin: 220

Docking at ports along the Main, Rhine and Moselle rivers.  All of the ports were located in small German towns that featured fortified walls with towers, castles, palaces, beer and wine gardens, and small winding cobblestone streets with charming shops and inns.  We added two tours, one to Rothenberg and the other to Luxembourg and we really enjoyed them.  The dining and beverages were great, the common areas are attractive and comfortable  and the suites and crew were impeccable.

We also enjoyed Prague and Paris and the hotels in those cities that were part of the tour package.  I strongly recommend this cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom
Great views of the rivers and attractions along the shore line. Very comfortable queen size bed and pillows. Plenty of room to sit comfortably on the two person couch or one of the two padded chairs. The restroom with it's spacious shower, vanity, sink and overall design added comfort and luxury to the room. I can't say enough positives about the sliding glass doors and the French balcony and if I travel on another river cruise in Europe I will travel with Avalon.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Everything was good except our departure where the steward staff had problems clearing our credit card. They mentioned the problem as a defaulted card out loud and that angered my wife. We called the card company and they said everything was clear and process the card. The steward was slow in doing this and we delayed the departure bus, but did arrive in time to catch the train to Paris.
Ship Quality
I expected this to be great and it was.
Destinations and Excursions
Fantastic and informative.
Onboard Activities
The upper deck lunch and the commentary about the attractions along the Rhine River were great.
Children's Programs Children were not on this cruise.
For a river cruise it was adequate.
Service and Staff
Food and Dining

Go to the outside lounge on the bow during happy hour and have a beverage of your choice and they will bring you a trail mix to snack on and watch the beautiful scenery go by.
