Review summary

This was our third trip on the lower Mississippi and this New Year's Eve cruise was the best staffed by far. I can only rave about the service and genuine hospitality from the staff. We even had the opportunity to share the dance floor with some of our servers during the New Year's Eve party and the crew talent show was the most attended event on the cruise. Excellent food/wonderful staff - everything I could have asked for!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
excellent service and superb food - these chefs knew the local specialties and incorporated them in the daily receipes

Sky Lounge

5 out of 5

My happy place! Since I choose not to RELAX first and foremost (my antidote to a busy year!) I spend hours in this sunny and elegantly appointed spot with servers Treasure, Dori and Manager Maheala available for food and drink selections.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I was in RELAX mode after the holiday hectic pace - there were destination lectures, I relaxed on the Sky Lounge, ate, ate and ate (!!!) . There were arts and crafts classes, shipboard scavenger hunts, games, great entertainment and a fully stocked bar.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Greatly executed New Year's Eve party, local bands, excellent and engaging house pianist David Clark, destination lectures...

Children's Programs

This ship is not geared to children which is one of the reasons we like it!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Very attentive, friendly and by the end of the week we felt like we had known them all for awhile. The crew even entertained us at a crew talent contest - guests cancelled their afternoon excursions to cheer on their favorite crewmembers.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
There was constantly cleaning in the cabin areas and twice daily room service

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great size (over 300 square feet) which is larger then most guest rooms in a house. Full dresser.desk/chair/nightstands and a balcony.

Ship tip

The ship experience is so upscale and relaxing that if you decide to not do alot of excursions you will still have an excellent cruise
