Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Dinning room was well spaced out. We had a choice for breakfast and lunch for quick bites at the cafe on the 4 th floor which was really convenient when we are in a hurry.
Onboard Activities

My wife enjoyed the art classes very much. They even had stretch classes in the mornings which my wife went daily. She enjoyed it very much.
Entertainment

Greg the pianist was very talented and we enjoyed his performances during cocktail hours daily and his incredible performances on several evenings. We also took this cruise on the way back and enjoyed the talks given by Bobby Durham , and another great piano player, Jeff Rehmet. My wife and I enjoyed the Mark Twain impersonator, Richard Garey who was hilarious and brought about lots of humorous moments. Another character was Molly Brown impersonator who was also incredible. Both these characters and several other entertainers that came to entertain us did a marvelous jobs.

Service and Staff

Every waiter and personnel we encountered were very helpful and courteous. The interim cruise director vim excursion director Mikalla was exceptional. She even managed to put together a stretch class in the mornings that my wife enjoyed. I would have joined if I were a bit more mobile.

Loved the layout of the shop expecially the fifth floor where there is a walking track. You can get a panoramic view of the scenery from this floor. My wife enjoyed her walks daily in the morning hours and came back with sunrise snd sunset views from up there.

The room is a nice size and we had a balcony that we enjoyed sitting out.
Ship tip
I would say, do a bit of research of the ports that the ship stops snd plan which tours you’ll be taking. That way, you won’t miss out the main points of interests you will not miss out.
We enjoyed this historical port very much. We took the walking tour with Richard Garey, who was the Mark Twain impersonator and enjoyed his performances. We visited Mark Twain’s boyhood home, and the museums. We also visited the Rockcliffe Mansion which was grand and is still being renovated.
My wife snd I enjoyed the Dubque Arboretum and the Botanical Gardens very much. The nice thing about this tour was that, the volunteers of this garden took people with low mobility in golf carts. This is a huge garden, all taken care by volunteers. The Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium is just a few steps away from where our ship docked and this shouldn’t be missed. The Fenelon Place Elevator shouldn’t be missed. The scenery of Dubuque from up top is incredible.
Enjoyed this port. We did the walking tour, and learned about the historical buildings in the area. My wife took the boat ride tour where she saw some wildlife and an area where there were houseboats.
