Not only was this a beautiful cruise, but we had so many great opportunities, both on and off the ship! All of this - and learning about the river and the Lewis and Clark expedition along the Columbia and Snake River! Wow! What a fun and memorable learning experience.

We wanted for nothing!! The room was spacious and well appointed. We slept like babies!
The bathroom was also spacious with a great shower! It had everything we needed!

We docked in Kalama and our excursion was to Mt. St. Helens! What an awesome display of the power of nature! My husband live only 100 miles from the mountain and this was our first trip to see it! Shame on us! Thank you ACL Harmony for such an incredible experience.
The Columbia River is AWESOME! We loved sitting on the balcony watching the many wonders of the river. The locks were amazing - and exciting to watch, as were the wildlife, AND the sunsets!!
Our major excursion this day was Multnomah Falls - which was magnificent beyond description! Also, the Bonneville Dam and fish ladders. Oregon is a beautiful state. Especially from the river!!
Wow! We docked at a beautiful spot on the river and had several excursion opportunities. However, our favorite was the WAAM (Western Air and Auto Museum)! It was spectacular and very memorable!! Here again, we lived only 100 miles from this awesome museum of airplaines, automobiles, motorcycles, etc. and everything in the museum is still operable. And once again, we had never been there before. Shame on us! Thank you American Cruise Line for introducing us to so many wonderful places - and in our own state. That's what happens when you only stay on the freeways.
We loved watching the wind and kite surfing! BEAUTIFUL!
We did the local loop today to see the quaint town of The Dalles and then enjoyed the activities on the ship. I always love the painting classes. The paintings are so fun, easy, and beautiful.
We also loved watching the wind and kite surfing in this port also. Hood River and the Dalles have become quite a mecca for this sport! BEAUTIFUL!
This port was a beautiful park. We walked, and walked, etc.
We did the all day excursion to Pendleton where we amazed on the underground tour of the town. What a surprise and it was so informative and well done. IT WAS GREAT!!
We also went to the Pendleton Woolen Mills, and had a great lunch downtown in a beautiful restaurant.
We cruised the river the entire day - and loved the beauty of this river. We were bless with beautiful weather for our cruise! We saw such a variety of landscapes!! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL RIVER!!
We disembarked in Clarkston with so many wonderful memories and experiences. We said good-bye to many new friends, and headed for home. You make so many new friends on a small ship!
