Review summary

Our trip was not only fabulous but informative from the moment we stepped onboard. This particular itinerary was a Fall Foliage/Art Immersion Cruise. The Hudson River Valley is well known for the artists who came there to capture the beauty of the Catskills. American Constitution is beautifully appointed from top to bottom. Staterooms are ample with a large balcony with sliding glass doors. The top-notch nightly entertainment and daily cultural programs were excellent. We could explore many historical and cultural landmarks on excursions led by local knowledgeable guides. The nightly complimentary cocktail hour offered guests a variety of appetizers and beverages before dinner. The ACL staff are professional, courteous, and work very hard to ensure guests are comfortable. I would highly recommend any of the American Cruise Line itineraries.

The main dining room was well appointed and had open seating. Service was excellent and the food delicious. There is also a "Back Porch Cafe" for lighter fare. Delicious cheeseburgers and the lilke.

There is a fitness area and a morning stretch class. There are many on board activities such as an art hour, bingo, and a putting green. The guest speakers were excellent.

A variety of entertainment was offered every evening from Divas & Crooners, Country Western and Oldies. Robert was not only an excellent performer but a well-informed historian who has an extensive knowledge of the region.
