Lovely to just walk around

We lucked into the Newport Seafood Festival!

Nice town. Definitely prefer the Caribbean though. This was a last minute decision so I made the best of it. Weather was nice. Town was very nice

Check out the Breakers, and do the Clift Walk (free bus from the port to the Waterfront Clift Walk)!

We were unable to tender from the ship due to the weather, so we missed this port

No. Shore access difficult.

We did not do an excursion here, but explored on our own. DO take advantage of the free bus service to get you around. We were able to visit The Breakers and Rough Point and do a little bit of the cliff walk with GORGEOUS views!

Best overall day. But much too short. Get to port at 7am when nothing is open and have to leave by 1:30. That said, we did a great overview (1 1/2 hr) bus tour of the Ocean Road, Bellevue Ave. and center city. Then we boarded a comfortable refurbished lobster boat to view the yachts and waterfront mansions. Could get a good view from the ocean. Really needs more time for Newport.

Didn't get off the ship. Passengers were given tender tickets and our number was so high we wouldn't have tendered until 1pm. All aboard time was 4:30pm so that wouldn't have been enough time to walk the Cliffs Walk.
