Very interesting location. Excursion was a D, the island guide did not keep the group together and the return boat was late and everyone was left standing around for over an hour with nothing to do and the guide did not improvise.

Best stop of the cruise. Newport is a beautiful city. We did a trolley tour on our own. This is also a tender port so plan accordingly.

Tender process was slow and unorganized. However it was a Beautiful town - lots of shops in walking distance. Excursion was interesting but all good things come to an end and this happened as we tried to head back to the ship. The line to get on a tender boat was one hour and fifteen minutes. RC used 3 tender boats we were told and the port had one that was used. From the time we got in the line to get on the ship until we were on the ship was almost 2 hours. Again a lack of planning on RC part.

Have been to Newport countless times as we usually drive here. Walked around, did some shopping and had a delicious lunch at The Black Pearl. It’s my go-to restaurant in Newport for their NE clam chowder and their spin on a lobster sandwich - lots of lobster🦞!
