Use global entry or the online CBP app to expedite returning in Port Everglades - both are available and much faster.

Fort Lauderdale: debarkation was slow and frustrating. There were several ships in port, much to our surprise for a Tuesday. Cab ride to the airport for two is $35

Flew in the night before, stayed at the Riverside Inn on Los Olas, excellent area of town for walking around, shopping and restaurants, not far from terminal.

Fan boat ride was pretty exciting - try to get a seat by the side.

The port is a commercial international port, very busy. We always use 'Park n Go' for our parking needs. They are located about 1/8 mile outside the entrance to the port. Secure parking with a fantastic shuttle service.

Going through customs was a lot faster using the Mobile Passport app. People on the paper line were backed up a long way. The problem though is getting to your luggage. It's so congested that if your luggage is in the far corner it is hard getting back to the Mobile Passport line.

The staff and set up was so efficient.
