Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Port Q&A

4.2
I have this cruise booked for the February 2024 sailing date. The arrival back to Fort Lauderdale is 615am. Wondering if I book a flight to leave Fort Lauderdale at 9am if there is enough time to make this flight?

I second no flights before noon. too many things can go wrong from delayed entry to Port, customs, luggage, transportation. it's stressful enough, don't pinch it that close.that being said, if you don't have a choice, make sure guest services know your situation and they are usually pretty accommodating to get you off the ship first. I've been on ships that have pulled into port at 5am and didn't get clearance to debark passengers until after 8am.just don't risk it if you don't have to.

we just got back from our 16th cruise trip and made our 1030 am flight from Ft lauderdale to Boston just fine. we've been pretty lucky with our flights each time but I wouldn't recommend anything before 11am if you don't have a good travel system down yet.

I just booked a cruise yesterday where the ship pulls into dock at 6:15am. My travel agent made a point to tell me no flight home before 12noon. So thereā€™s thatā€¦..
