Hi has anyone recently rent a car before or after cruise? Were there any shuttle buses to the port? I was searching and sems most of the agencies are no longer offering the free service. Thanks.

Last April we rented a car at the Fort Lauderdale airport. Since we had a day free before  our cruise we went to the Everglades for the day. When we got back to the hotel, Crowne Plaza FLD my husband took the car back to the airport and got Uber back to the hotel. We also took Uber to the ship the next morning.

we always rent a car pre cruise and then return it in the morning and take a cab to the port

Recently rented a car from Avis after the cruise. There was a free shuttle to the rental location but there was a long wait with a bunch of crabby people. Next time I will take an Uber to the car rental.
